Brisbane 🚗 Byron Bay | Australia’s Most Chill Coastal Town 1st wedding anniversary 💍 My partner and I visited Byron Bay, the hometown of Thor—such a stunning, charming seaside town 🏝️ 🚙【Transport Guide】 1️⃣ Self-driving: It takes just 2 hours to drive from Brisbane to Byron Bay, with breathtaking scenery along the way 🌈. You’ll pass the Gold Coast 🏝️, and on the return trip, you can stop by Harbourtown 🛍️, where Nike/Adidas and other sportswear brands are on sale year-round. 2️⃣ Public transport: Book a bus with Greyhound 🚌. 🌊【Must-Visit Attractions】 1️⃣ Cape Byron Lighthouse: Spectacular views where you can spot dolphins 🐬 leaping and whales 🐳 spouting! Checking this off my bucket list was such a moving experience 🥹. It’s also perfect for romantic sunrises and sunsets 🌄. ⚠️ Tips: If driving up, parking costs 10 AUD 🅿️, but the attendants leave around 4 PM, so it’s free after that (I totally overpaid 😂). 2️⃣ Byron Bay Beach / Main Beach / Wategos Beach 🏄: A surfer’s paradise with gentle waves, easy for beginners to try 🌊. 🍴【Food Highlights】 Dinner: Ember, a popular steakhouse on Instagram. The steak 🥩 was amazing—tender and flavorful! Around 120 AUD for two. Brunch: Folk, a fun vegetarian restaurant. Their coffee is the best I’ve ever had! Swapping the latte milk for coconut milk is pure perfection 😋. 🏠【Accommodation Guide】 Sunrise Guesthouse offers great value, booked via Booking. Weekday rates are 200 AUD 🔪, with a lovely room featuring a small outdoor balcony, a private pool, and huge communal areas. Byron Bay is so wonderful.
