Watching The Sea
There's a rock pool by the sea in Gold Coast" | Rainbow Bay 📍This place is called Rainbow Bay 🌈🌊, my favorite stretch of sea. These photos were taken with a mobile phone... last year, on a sunny day with clouds ☁️. The Point Danger lookout and the popular photo spot—the boundary marker between Queensland and New South Wales—are also nearby (take a small step, and you’ll have visited New South Wales! 🚶♀️✨). It’s a 1.5-hour drive from Brisbane 🚗, about 20 minutes from Tweed Head (P10, details in another post), and around 40 minutes from Surfers Paradise (what people refer to as "going to the Gold Coast"). Whether for checking in and taking photos or leisurely wandering, a day trip there and back is totally manageable 👌. For the rock pool, navigate to "Snapper Rocks" (P11). If there’s no parking along the road, try the Boundary St area nearby—there are plenty of spots 🅿️. Point Danger, Captain Cook Memorial, and the state border are all close by. Walk along the beach and check out several viewing platforms, all of which are beautiful 🌅. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby, which get busy on weekends and holidays, so it’s better to go early for easier parking 🕒. The rock pool is quite large, formed by scattered huge rocks 🪨. Sea water flows in and out of the space enclosed by the rocks with the waves, creating a natural rock pool. The water is mostly shallow—even non-swimmers can grab a pool noodle and splash around a bit 🏊♀️, fulfilling a landlubber’s dream of "swimming in the sea." It’s a bit slippery, so be careful ⚠️, but the rocks block the waves, so you don’t have to worry about being swept away (laughs 😆). All in all, it’s an unforgettable beach that I’d visit again and again 🌟, and it’s where I saw a "rock pool" for the first time in my life. Whether for taking photos 📸, playing in the water, or wanting to spend a relaxed day differently, make sure to take time to visit if you get the chance—you won’t be disappointed 😊. #HealingScenery #RockPool #Australia #Brisbane #GoldCoast #ThatSeasideIveAlwaysWantedToVisit #Healing #Travel #TravelPhotography #Nature #WatchingTheSea #Seaside #AustraliaTravel #WatchingTheSea #SeasideTravel
