AZ Travel | Tucson Two-Day-and-One-Night Highlights Tour Guide
1. Previously, I shared the itinerary, attractions, and food guides for an eight-day trip with kids in three cities of Arizona. It's constantly being updated in the collection. ππΊοΈπ Today, I'm going to introduce the two-day-and-one-night highlights tour route in Tucson. All the attractions are quite special and hardcore, and they are really worth visiting. πππ 2. Day 1β£οΈ β Saguaro National Park: It consists of two parts, the West District and the East District. The driving distance between them is about 50 minutes. You only need to choose one to visit. ππ΅π π East District: The cacti here grow taller but are relatively sparse. The visitor center is named Rincon Mountain Visitor Center. When driving, you can choose the Cactus Forest Scenic Loop Drive, which is an 8-mile loop. ππ³πΊοΈ It offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the unique desert landscape dotted with those tall cacti. ππ΅ποΈ π West District: The cacti in this area are shorter than those in the East District but are much denser. The visitor center is called Red Hills Visitor Center. We only visited the West District and drove along the scenic bajada loop drive, a 6-mile loop. The whole road is made of gravel! ππͺ¨π I highly recommend two easy trails on this loop. The valley view overlook trail provides a spectacular view of the cacti when you look down from it. And the Signal hill trail has rock art remains that are worth seeing. We also walked along the Javelina Wash Trail and Cactus Garden trail near the visitor center. ππ£π΅ β Sonora Desert Museum: It's open every day throughout the year! πποΈποΈ It's a comprehensive museum of flora and fauna ecology, partly outdoors. It's quite large and you can spend half a day exploring it. There are more than a dozen exhibition areas in total, with rich and diverse exhibitions. ππ¦π³ You can also touch the stingray, but it costs money. It's 4 dollars per person, and adults must buy tickets to accompany their children. πππΈ 3. Day 2β£οΈ β San Xavier Del Vac Mission: Before going there, I didn't think much of it. But since it was on the way to the missile museum, we decided to visit it. And it turned out to be really beautiful! πβͺπ It has a unique charm that can surprise you once you step inside and admire its architecture and details. πππ β Titan Missile Museum: Remember to make an online reservation for the tour in advance. The tour lasts for 45 minutes. You can actually go down to the underground missile launch room. πππ The origin of it is that the United States and the former Soviet Union agreed to each open a missile museum. Our tour guide was a technician who had worked here for 20 years. Back then, when he was at work, he was sealed underground, waiting for an order that he didn't know whether it would come or not, but which could change the fate of mankind. He said that our current situation is even more dangerous than before. And they will invite tourists to participate in the interaction. My kid was even selected to assist in starting that device. ππ¦π‘ β Pima Air Force Museum: It's the largest aircraft museum. There are several halls indoors, and the outdoor area is even larger. πβοΈποΈ I suggest taking the tram to tour the outdoor area. It costs 10 dollars per person and takes about 40 minutes. There are vivid commentaries, and it saves you a lot of walking. For those who love aircraft, they probably wouldn't feel enough even if they spent a whole day here. πππ #BayAreaLife #BayAreaSurroundings #ArizonaTravel
