AZ Tucson & Phoenix Travel and Food Guide

1. ☀️Phoenix Attractions: 1️⃣Papago Park - A Must-Visit Navigate to "Hole in Rock" and you can drive directly to the foot of the mountain. There are plenty of free parking spaces available. 😊🗺️🅿️ The mountain isn't very high. When it comes to sunset time, there are usually lots of people climbing up to enjoy the view. It's a popular spot for witnessing the beautiful moment when the sun goes down. 😎🌄👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 2️⃣Old Town Scottsdale Area Navigate to the "bronze horse fountain". It took me quite a few rounds to find the free parking. 😃🗺️🅿️ There are numerous galleries there, but I wasn't really into them. And there wasn't much else that caught my eye for shopping. However, there are some places worth checking out: - Fashion square Shopping Center has a "Wonder Space" Fantasy Installation Museum. It offers a unique and interesting experience for visitors. 😊🛍️🎇 - The "bronze horse fountain" is a landmark building that's quite recognizable. 😎🏛️🗺️ - At "gelato cimmino", I only recommend the "cimmino rock" flavor. The texture is rather thin, which might not be to everyone's liking. 😃🍦🥄 - "Fourtillfour coffee" closes at two o'clock. So make sure to visit it before that time if you want to grab a cup of coffee. 😊☕️🕙 3️⃣ASU Campus I visited both the Tempe and downtown areas. Oh my! Public schools can be really huge with so many people around. 😎🏫👨‍🎓 You can directly navigate to the bookstore in Tempe. Unfortunately, there was road construction going on at that time, so I had to take a detour to find the visitor parking. And the mascot there is kind of ugly yet cute in a way. 😃🦘😜 Other places I didn't visit: - "Rainbow Ryders Air Balloon": You can book a sunset tour on their official website. For weekdays, booking two days in advance is usually okay. I didn't pay attention to the sunrise tour. In the end, the wind was too strong and I didn't dare to go. 😊🎈🌬️ - "Footprint Center", which is the home court of the Suns. 😎🏀🏟️ 2. 🍴Tuscon Restaurants: - "tito & pep": Highly recommended! In my opinion, it offers a fusion of Mexican and Southeast Asian cuisines. Make sure to book in advance. Otherwise, people start queuing up before it opens at 5 pm and seats at the bar are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 😊📞🍽️ Everything shown in P10 is worth ordering! The grilled octopus is the tenderest I've ever tasted. All the other dishes are great too. And each dish only costs around a dozen dollars. I really like the drinks made by Ned, the bartender there. 😎🐙💸 - "Cruda" - Mexican cuisine. You'll need to find a parking space by yourself. 😃🚗🍴 Highly recommended dishes: The fried shrimp taco shown in P11 and the "mixto" stone pot with fish, shrimp, and octopus in P12. The seafood is really fresh and the shrimp is super bouncy. 😊🦐🍤 - "UA" School Gate's "Zing Zing" Northeast Chinese Cuisine. There's parking space behind the store. The spicy hot pot is delicious. But on weekends, there are no boxed meals available. And during peak meal times, the food takes quite a while to be served. 😎🥘🕙 - "El Taco Rustico": I didn't take pictures. Remember to choose takeout, as the plates there don't look very clean. The "carne asada" (grilled beef), "lengua" (beef tongue), and "cabeza" (cow head meat) are really delicious! 😃🌮🥩 3. 🍴Phoenix Restaurants: - "Little Miss BBQ - University" near the airport offers Texas-style barbecue. All four kinds of barbecue shown in P13 are delicious. 😊🍖🔥 - "Little Orange Capital": The signature grilled fish slices are really tasty! But the barbecue is only available after 9:30 pm and I didn't get to try it. 😎🐟🍢 - "Shaanxi": It's hard to say. Only the fried jelly is good. 😃🍜🥢 - At "Mekong" supermarket, both the "Zhengxin Chicken Fillet" and "Mekong Palace Dim Sum" shown in P15 are recommended. 😊🥟🍗 #SpringBreak #Phoenix
