Azadi Tower: The Path to Freedom in Iran
Azadi Tower is a landmark of Iran, embodying the Iranian people’s longing for freedom and their memories of struggle. Here, I saw numerous photos of Iranians fighting for freedom, and it felt as if I could sense the ancient Persian era that was ravaged by wars. The weight of history was palpable.🏛 Azadi Street is the main road leading to Azadi Tower, and it is extremely crowded, especially near the tower where it is close to the airport. In such a situation, it was particularly difficult to use Snapp to get a taxi, and negotiating a direct taxi fare was also challenging. Since I couldn’t agree on a price, I had to grit my teeth and walk 10 kilometers back.🚶♂️🚶♀️ However, on the east side of the tower, you can purchase tickets to enter. The price is 2.35 million IRR, and I think it’s well worth it! The staff are extremely friendly, especially to Chinese tourists. From the top of the tower, you can enjoy the surrounding views, and with few visitors, it’s very convenient for sightseeing.👀 The souvenir shop’s staff were also very enthusiastic, patiently introducing various products. Although I was a bit short on cash, the souvenirs were not expensive and of good quality. The store on the right sells pottery handmade by their mother. The shop assistant speaks excellent English and even knows a few words of Chinese. When she warmly said to me, “Very beautiful,” I really felt sad because I had no money. The pottery only cost 3 million IRR, which I could afford, but I just didn’t have the cash.😭 In summary, I highly recommend everyone to visit Azadi Tower. I’m sure you’ll have a rewarding experience!🌟 #Iran #travel #wilderness #AzadiTower #Tehran
