Back to Ancient Rome in Berlin: Pergamon Panorama 360 ποΈ
ποΈ Museum Island, composed of the Bode Museum, Neues Museum, Old Museum, Pergamon Museum, National Gallery, and Humboldt Forum, is a must-visit destination in Berlin. The Pergamon Museum, famous for its collection of large artifacts from ancient Greece and Rome, is currently closed for renovations and won't reopen until 2027βwhat a pity! However, there's a multimedia exhibition themed around Pergamon that can somewhat make up for this disappointment: Pergamonmuseum. Das Panorama. π πΌοΈ The centerpiece of this exhibition is a massive 3D painting created by artist Yadegar Asisi over a decade ago, showcasing the urban landscape of ancient Pergamon. Pergamon was a significant and prosperous capital of the Roman Empire around the 2nd century BC (located in present-day Turkey), and the artifacts from the city's ruins are the treasures of the Pergamon Museum. πΊ π‘ The exhibition combines artifacts with multimedia elements, allowing visitors to learn about this historical period while experiencing an immersive journey. The changing lights reflect scenes from dawn to dusk, making it feel as if we are in the city thousands of years ago. π π The entire viewing experience is incredibly immersive and wonderful; I highly recommend not missing Pergamon Panorama when in Berlin! π π« Tickets can be purchased separately for β¬14, while a one-day pass for Museum Island is β¬24 and includes this exhibition. Tickets are available on the Museum Island official website or can be bought on-site. π³ #Berlin #Pergamon #Europe #Museum #Art #ArtInMuseums #FusionOfTechnologyAndArt #MustSeeExhibition
