Balboa Park is absolutely one of San Diego's most underrated attractions! On Xiaohongshu (xhs), it's tagged as the filming location for "The Heirs," with Lee Min-ho's (same spots as Lee Min-ho's scenes). But anyone who's been there knows the filming site is just a tiny part of what makes this place special. 🌴☀️ The European-style architecture under the summer sun and palm trees—I'm absolutely in love with this vibe! 〰️ Optimal Route: Starting from the parking lot, you can cover all the main attractions without any backtracking. 🅿️ Park at the Organ Pavilion Parking lot or the one next to Alcázar Garden. Use Google Maps to locate: 8544PRJX+66. ➡️ Head to Palm Canyon Trail—it's lined with palm trees! 🌴 ➡️ Cross the street to Spreckels Organ Pavilion, an open-air plaza with circular archways on both sides. 🎶 ➡️ Enter the park, turn left, and walk along the El Prado corridors. 🛤️ ➡️ At the end, you'll find the California Tower. 🗼 ➡️ Retrace your steps along the other corridor, passing by Alcázar Garden. 🌸 ➡️ Return to the central plaza. If you have time, visit The San Diego Museum of Art to the north. 🖼️ ➡️ Turn right to Lily Pond, the filming location from "The Heirs"—a must-visit spot! 📸 ➡️ Behind the pond is the Botanical Building, a stunning tropical indoor garden that's free to visit. 🌿 ➡️ Exit the pond area and continue right, passing by Casa Del Prado and Casa de Balboa—both beautiful buildings. 🏛️ ➡️ Keep going right to Bea Evenson Fountain, featuring a massive fountain. ⛲ ➡️ Next to it is the Spanish Village Art Center—worth a visit if you have time. 🎨 Impressions: Balboa Park boasts vast Spanish-style architecture, museums, art galleries, and botanical gardens.
