Banana Leaf | Philadelphia's Super Value Malaysian Restaurant

I never expected that my first taste of Malaysian cuisine would be in Philadelphia 🤣. I'm not sure if it's authentic, but with a cost of less than $20 per person, you can eat very satisfyingly! And the taste is very appealing. Banana Leaf Satay 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The signature skewers, available in beef, chicken, or a mix (we ordered the mix). I prefer the beef, although it's more chewy than the chicken, the meat aroma is very rich! The chicken felt a bit over-marinated and was slightly salty. Shrimp Puff 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Fried shrimp balls (but for some reason they are a bit square in shape). The filling is super generous! When you bite into them, they are full of Q-elastic shrimp meat. Spreading salad dressing on them fills you with happiness, but you might get a bit tired of it later. Roti Telur 🌟🌟🌟🌟 A pancake sandwich with onions and eggs, but because it's made very thin, I didn't really feel the presence of onions and eggs when eating haha. It comes with red curry sauce for dipping (curry heads rejoice!). There is another dish in the store, Roti Canai, which is similar to this, but it's a plain handkerchief bread without filling, smaller and lighter. If you don't want onions and eggs, you can order this one. I heard that their pad thai and stir-fried water spinach are also very good, and I plan to come back in the future! #bananaleaf #PhiladelphiaMalaysianCuisine #PhiladelphiaSoutheastAsianRestaurant #PhiladelphiaFood #IrresistibleExoticCuisine
