Barranquilla: A City Without "Sights" 😅

Quick stop in this ultra-niche Colombian city—where "sightseeing" means embracing the lack of sights. "The Window of the World" 🪟 My local host proudly showed off this glass sculpture (built by a famous glass factory). Think: Shenzhen's Window of the World... but budget edition. Also flexed that it’s home to Colombia’s national soccer team training base ⚽. (Me, nodding: "Our Chinese team could never...") The Riverfront 🌊 Water = murky 🟤 Opposite shore’s trees = oddly photogenic 🌴 Locals treat it like their "mother river" (connects to the Caribbean) Industrial Pride 🏗️ Once a major port, now a growing factory zone. Host beamed about hometown progress—so I had to flex Hangzhou’s Asian Games light show on my phone 📱. Dinner Drama 🍽️ Host: "Chinese or Colombian food?" Me: "Obviously NOT Chinese!" 😤 Ended up at a chic restaurant with: Seafood stew (improvised after I foolishly ordered salmon 🐟) Berry juice = best drink ever 🧃 Final Thoughts Malls = crowded 🛍️ Buses = no AC (RIP) 🔥 Asian visibility = human zoo exhibit 🐒 But hey—locals were adorably friendly despite my Spanglish! #BarranquillaOrBust #CaribbeanVibes
