Barranquilla - Colombia's 4th Largest City
I impulsively booked a ticket to Barranquilla, Colombia's fourth-largest metropolis 🌆. Stepping off the plane, I was hit by a wave of tropical heat—a stark contrast to Bogotá's chilly gloom. The taxi ride from the airport mirrored my expectations: barren landscapes and crumbling infrastructure. Yet, my client's warmth matched the city's temperature. After our business meeting, noticing my return flight was hours later, they insisted on showing me around. As the only Asian face in sight, I became an instant attraction 🎭. The sweltering heat 🥵 forced me to shed my scarf, hat, mask, and glasses—each removal drawing more curious stares at restaurants. At tourist spots, locals kept asking for photos 📸—I became a human prop for two hours! But their genuine excitement melted my guard down. Chatting through an overworked translation app (which died right at the airport), I forgot all about "safety concerns" and simply embraced the moment. Now killing 6 hours at the airport ✈️... #BarranquillaDiaries #ColombianWarmth
