Basel | A Colorful and Musical May with Eurovision 🎤

In Basel, the month of May is filled with the scent of music and art! 💙 One of the world's largest music events—the "Eurovision Song Contest 2025"—will take place in Basel from May 10th to May 17th, with 37 countries participating. The St. Jakobshalle will be the central venue for nine live performances. On the day of the final, the adjacent St. Jakob Park Stadium will transform into the exclusive "Arena Plus," inviting everyone to share in the joy and excitement. 🎤🎶 On May 11th, the opening ceremony will feature a stunning "red carpet"—actually a turquoise carpet that stretches 1.3 kilometers from the Marktplatz in front of Basel City Hall, across the Mittlere Bridge, and all the way to Riehenring next to the Eurovision Village! 🎩 As the host city, Basel offers a variety of cultural activities and facilities, including the Eurovision Village (the official fan gathering area, located in Hall 1 of Messe Basel, with free admission) and the EuroClub (the official party venue, located in the event hall of Messe Basel), providing diverse experiences. This year's contest emphasizes the core values of unity and inclusion through music. 🎶 The "Lightning Symphony" by Swiss artist Claudia Comte is now open to the public. Located in Basel's Messeplatz, it is one of the artistic highlights of the contest. This 52-meter-long inflatable sculpture, shaped like undulating sound waves, features LED lights that pulse rhythmically, creating a meditative, light-and-sound-filled musical space. The artist invites everyone to experience music as a universal language. 🌈 Meanwhile, Münsterplatz is surrounded by love. From May 6th to 21st, it will be the center of the "Love is the Answer" exhibition. Hearts created by artists from around the world, each with its own unique cultural mark, showcase love, joy, diversity, and inclusion. They beat at different frequencies, yet bring us closer together. 💗 In May, Basel is surrounded by new greenery, with wisteria in full bloom. It's colorful, charming, and full of life—definitely worth a visit! 💙 #Switzerland #SwissTravel #IWantSwitzerland __
