Switzerland | Cheval Blanc - A Stable Michelin Three-Star Experience

Cheval Blanc in Basel, my last visit was pre-pandemic, yet it continues to maintain its high standards. The restaurant's ambiance is incredibly elegant, with a luxurious decor that makes you feel like you're dining in a grand palace, filled with French romantic charm. The staff are extremely professional and friendly, providing a very comfortable experience. 🏰✨ The menu hasn't changed much, but each meticulously crafted seafood dish is unforgettable. The Indian spices used are a unique blend developed by early Indian immigrants in France, so it still counts as a "French" regional cooking style. The main course, pan-seared lamb, is perfectly done—aromatic, tender, and delicious. One of the highlights of returning to Switzerland is enjoying delicious cheese! I've been traveling for a few days and am quite tired, but I'll take the time to write detailed reviews of the cheese varieties and flavors in the comments section. 🍖🧀 The only downside of this restaurant is the reservation process, which can be a bit cumbersome, requiring booking via email or phone. But trust me, it's worth the hassle. 📞 Menu: • Oysters: Orange / Grapefruit 🍓 • Crab: French Indian Curry / Crispy Rice 🍛 • Jalapeño: Prawn 🦐 • Macaron: Foie Gras / Orange / Garam Masala 🍔 • Yellowfin Tuna: Miso / Orange / Radish / Avocado 🍖 • French Scallops: Périgord Truffle / Madeira Sauce 🍳 • Red Mullet: Saffron / Black Garlic 🍳 • Lamb Saddle: Bell Pepper / Ginger / Cocoa Beans 🍖 • Cheese Platter: St. Felicien / Langue / Brie de Meaux / Mont Vully / Comté 🧀 • Coffee: Black Musk / Raspberry 🍓☕ #Switzerland #Basel #FrenchRestaurant #FrenchCuisine #SwissRestaurant #Michelin #MichelinThreeStars #FoodieLife #MyFoodDiary
