Bay Area | New England Lobster 🦞 So Good It's Addictive!
Can anyone argue that this place has the best lobster roll in the Bay Area? I first tried it a few years ago when a local took me here, and I was blown away. It’s a hidden gem located in a quiet alley near SFO airport, far from the bustling streets. But as the saying goes, “Good wine needs no bush.” Even after a long time away, the quality remains impeccable. Lobster Roll 🦞 $44 This roll is packed with lobster meat, mixed with mayonnaise and black pepper. Each bite is incredibly fresh and sweet. If you have a small mouth, you might not even be able to fit all the lobster meat in one bite! The bread is pan-fried with butter 🧈, making it incredibly crispy and buttery. Eating it with the lobster meat is just heavenly. It disappears in just a few bites! Lobster Corn Chowder 🦞🌽🫕 $12 This soup is a must-order! As someone who loves clam chowder, this has taken over that spot in my heart. It’s incredibly creamy with a rich lobster flavor, perfectly seasoned, and not at all greasy. Dipping bread into the lobster chowder is a match made in heaven. The portion size is generous (as shown in the photo), and we initially thought it would be too much. But after sharing one bowl between two people, we ended up ordering another because it was just that good! 1-Pound Lobster $30 The lobster here is juicy and bursting with flavor. The live lobsters are available at the market nearby, and they are cooked to order. The meat is easy to remove and incredibly tender and bouncy. Oysters 🦪 The oysters are pretty average. They are fresh but too small, which makes them less satisfying. I wouldn’t recommend them. Summary: Although the whole lobster looks impressive, the amount of meat inside is not as much as in the lobster roll. The lobster roll feels like it has at least 2 pounds of lobster meat, making it a better deal. 🤔 If you’re dining alone and want both the lobster roll and the soup, you can also order a half-roll with a bowl of chowder. This place is really only criticized for being a bit pricey, but that’s more my issue than theirs. I haven’t been to Boston yet, but this lobster roll is hands down the best I’ve ever had. #BayAreaLife #BayAreaFood #BayAreaWeekend #Lobster #Seafood
