Bay Area Peruvian Cuisine: Limón 🦐 Dish Collection

📍 Limón 800 California St, Mountain View, CA 94041 There are several Peruvian restaurants in the Bay Area, spread across San Francisco, the Peninsula, and the East and South Bay. My first visit left me a bit underwhelmed, but I ended up going back multiple times for various reasons and discovered some really great dishes. ✅ ARROZ CON MARISCOS (Seafood Rice): Unlike the deliberately dry and slightly undercooked Spanish-style seafood rice, this dish features moist, juicy rice with plenty of seafood in every bite. Highly recommended! ✅ LENGUA (Beef Tongue): A must-try for those who love thick-cut beef tongue. It’s tender yet firm, with the flavor of the tongue well-preserved. ✅ CEVICHE LIMÓN (Signature Seafood Platter): A signature dish with delicious fried squid and taro chips served with a tangy sauce. The combination is flavorful and unique. ✅ LOMO SALTADO (Beef Stir-Fry with French Fries): Well-seasoned, though the beef is a bit dry. ✅ TACU LOMO (Stir-Fried Beef with Tacu Tacu): A tasty dish with a nice combination of flavors. Not Recommended: ⭕️ ANTICUCHOS DE POLLO (Chicken Skewers): The chicken is quite dry. ⭕️ CHICHARRÓN DE POLLO (Fried Chicken): The chicken is dry. ⭕️ POLLO A LA BRASA (Roast Chicken): The chicken is dry. Summary: Beef and seafood are generally safe bets! For chicken, you might want to try another place.🙂 #BayAreaFood #BayAreaPeruvianCuisine #WhatToEatInBayArea #BayAreaNewRestaurants #SouthBayFood #SanFranciscoFood
