Last week, work got so overwhelming that I grabbed a friend and fled to New Orleans! The South is seriously a food paradise — I gained 5 pounds in just 3 days 😂💦 🍩 Beignets – Café Du Monde The iconic French-style doughnuts buried in powdered sugar — an insulin-spiking treat! 💥 Café Beignet is also great if you want to compare. 🦞 Seafood Boil – Hot N Cajun Boil House A Louisiana classic! We got the combo with shrimp, crab, and crawfish + sausage, potatoes, and corn 🌽. Solid and satisfying! 🍷 French Food – La Crepe Nanou Authentic and flawless! We had the Fondue, Filet Mignon, and Côtelettes d’Agneau — all juicy, flavorful, and delicious. The cheese fondue came with loads of bread 🧀🥖. 🍳 Brunch – Another Broken Egg Cafe Loved the Shrimp Benedict with its unique velouté sauce. The City Grits (cheesy, bacon-loaded grits) were a tasty twist! Lots of classic American options too. 🦐 Creole – Katie‘s Famous for their crawfish beignets (yes, you read that right!). Their gumbo was also comforting and rich. 🍛 Creole – Oceana Grill A full Creole & Louisiana menu! Standouts: Crab Meat Cakes, Crawfish Étouffée, and Shrimp Creole. Also enjoyed their jambalaya and charbroiled oysters 🦪. 🍹 Bar – Erin Rose Frozen Irish Coffee — an absolute MUST. So good it’s almost dangerous 😉 🥞 Brunch – Elizabeth’s A true local gem!
