Beautiful ambiance and good food
This spot is one of the top-rated restaurants on Kaua’i—and we ended up eating here three nights in a row! 😆 The reason? We thought we couldn’t dine at the Four Seasons restaurants (except for Views at the golf course) without staying at the resort, based on what its website said. Turns out, the shuttle driver who took us to the ferry at the end of our trip told us that wasn’t the case—oh well, at least we found a great spot to return to! First off, the ambiance is absolutely gorgeous—it’s easy to see why it’s a popular site for weddings and other celebrations. Just imagine tying the knot or toasting a milestone with Kaua’i’s stunning sunsets as your backdrop—total dreamy vibes 🌅. The decor adds to the charm too: mixed wallpaper, unique lighting features, and varied seating that feels cozy yet elevated, never too stuffy. There’s also an outdoor seating option (usually where the music is) that lets you soak up the island air—though when rain threatens, they move the music inside (more on that later!). And let’s talk about service—consistently great! Over our three nights, we had lovely interactions with staff: Maryann took care of us on night one, and Eddie looked after us the next two nights—both were friendly, attentive, and made us feel like regulars 🤗. Our server throughout our visits was wonderful, always happy to answer questions about the menu and make recommendations—small touches that made the experience feel personal. Our three nights had their own little twists, especially when it came to music: Night 1: We had the misfortune of a not-so-good musician playing inside—and it was SO incredibly loud. Uncomfortably loud, in fact. Because of the noise, everyone was shouting to talk, and it was hard to even hear our server. No PA system, just a monitor cranked up too high. But the silver lining? The service and food still shined. Night 2 & 3: Way more enjoyable! Night two had outdoor music (much quieter, and nicer to listen to), and night three had no musician at all—perfect for chatting over our meals. Now, the food—we loved most of it, but there’s a small caveat with price: Overall, the food was good, with a fantastic variety (from tacos to shrimp to fresh fish) and quick preparation (no long waits when we were hungry ⏱️). We even tried the tasting menu, and while the dishes were decent, we couldn’t help but feel they were a bit overpriced for what they were—everything could have been a little more refined or generous to match the cost. The misses: Beyond the price note, the only real dud was the ahi fish sando. The ahi was way overcooked (we’d asked for medium), and the sandwich overall lacked flavor—disappointing, but it was the only letdown. The favorites: Oh, where to start! The pineapple Parker rolls with miso butter were insane—we even got them warmed up for breakfast one morning 🍍. The venison sausage appetizer was packed with rich, savory flavor, the mushroom bucatini was creamy and earthy (so comforting!), and the fried chicken sandwich was crispy, juicy, and hit all the right notes 🍗. And don’t even get us started on the pineapple upside down cake—it’s phenomenal! The caramelized top adds a sweet, sticky perfection that makes it really special 🎂. Other wins: It’s very Celiac-friendly—great for anyone with gluten needs 🥗. The atmosphere stays casual (no stuffy formalities), which we loved, and even with the price and noise blip on night one, the food, service, and ambiance kept us coming back. Overall, we still highly recommend this restaurant—it’s a fantastic pick for anyone visiting Kaua’i! Whether you’re here for a quick bite, a celebratory meal, or even three nights in a row, the sunset scenery, delicious standout dishes, friendly staff, and gorgeous vibe make it a total standout ✨. #KauaiTopEats #ThreeNightsInARow #GorgeousAmbiance #GreatRestaurantService #DeliciousIslandEats #CeliacFriendlyDining
