Beginner-Friendly Hike at Jaraguá Park (1.5h from São Paulo)
Needed a quick escape from work, so I headed to Jaraguá Park—just ~1 hour from Paulista Ave.—with minimal planning. 🚖 Getting There (Slightly Chaotic) My Uber driver couldn’t find the trailhead and dropped us near a signal tower uphill (basically a shortcut to the summit). Not much of a "hike" at first! 🥾 Trail Detour for Exercise From the tower, we backtracked ~300m downhill and found the proper trail entrance: a wooden lookout platform with a rugged path (scattered rocks, log steps, and handrails). 🌿 Trail Vibes Perfect weather for this easy-moderate hike—just enough nature immersion without exhausting my office-worker legs. 📍 Key Spots Start: Estr. Turística do Jaraguá, S/N - Vila Jaraguá (Signal Tower area) End: R. Antônio Cardoso Nogueira, 539 - Vila Chica Luisa (Tip: You can reverse the route—Uber to either point works!) 💰 Cost & Tips Uber roundtrip: ~R$130 No entrance fee Pack: Sunhat, sunglasses, bug spray (mosquitoes!). Snacks optional—there’s a stall selling açaí and drinks near the tower. #São Paulo#Jaraguá Park#hike#trekking#travel guide#Brazil#Brazil travel
