Berlin, you’re just too delicious 🫰
The place my Berlin friends strongly recommended is really quite good! 👍 (It feels like one of those hidden gems? The storefront is pretty inconspicuous; you probably won’t find it unless you’re specifically looking for it.) ✨ Eggplant and Potato Stir-fry: It’s delicious and very authentic. From the first bite, you know it’s the real deal, just like what you’d get in Northeast China. The eggplant 🍆 is soft and flavorful, the potatoes are smooth and fragrant, and the whole dish is savory without being greasy. Scooping a spoonful to mix with rice is just heavenly. Super recommended! (This dish was gone really quickly. 🤩) ✨ Crispy Duck: The duck skin is super crispy, and the meat is firm without any gamey taste. The sauce is sweet and aromatic, which makes it great for dipping. 👌 Recommended! ✨ Roujiamo (Shredded Pork in Flatbread): The outer skin is incredibly flaky, the kind that crumbles as you bite into it. The filling, even with the addition of green peppers and cilantro, is well-seasoned and has been approved by a friend from Shaanxi. 👌 Recommended! ✨ Red Oil Dumplings: Personally, I don’t find them spicy at all, but the chili oil is very rich and fragrant. The dumpling wrappers are chewy, and the overall taste is quite savory and fresh. Not bad at all! ✨ Spicy Chicken: The chili peppers are pretty spicy, and the chicken is fried to be super crispy and very fragrant. However, aside from the spiciness, I feel the seasoning is a bit lacking. It’s just average for me. ‼️ Overall: The overall quality is quite good, especially the eggplant and potato stir-fry, which is very Northeastern. The prices also seem quite reasonable. Highly recommended! 📍 WUNDERBAR #FoodDiary #LifeInGermany #Germany #RestaurantReview #Berlin #BerlinCuisine #EverySecondWorthRecording #SteamyMeals #HiddenRestaurantGems #FoodieContest #100RestaurantsChallenge
