📍 Berlin's Hidden Gem: Berlin Story Bunker
Berlin Story Bunker | The Rise and Fall of the Führer On May 8, 2025, the 80th anniversary of Europe's Liberation Day, I visited a lesser-known Berlin attraction recommended on a travel blog: the Berlin Story Bunker. 🕍 📍 Address: Schöneberger Str. 23A, 10963 Berlin 🎫 Admission: 12€, student ticket 9€ 🕒 Opening Hours: Daily from 10:00–19:00 🪖 Located in the heart of Berlin, this former Nazi-era air raid bunker has been transformed into a museum centered around the life and downfall of Hitler. The exhibits provide a comprehensive look at German and world history, starting with the victory of the Franco-Prussian War and covering Hitler's birth, his art school rejection, World War I, his rise to power, the Night of the Long Knives, economic recovery, concentration camp policies, World War II on both fronts, the Battle of Berlin, and his eventual suicide in the Führerbunker. 🕊️ After the exhibition, I learned that Hitler's father's original surname was Schicklgruber, which was changed to Hitler in 1876. The museum also features the story of Georg Elser, who attempted to assassinate Hitler with a time bomb in Munich's Bürgerbräukeller. 🕳️ The exhibition is filled with countless original photographs, document replicas, and audio guides. I highly recommend allowing plenty of time for your visit. I spent four hours there and still only managed a cursory look. ⏳ Additionally, the museum features a 1:1 replica of Hitler's room in the Führerbunker, as seen in the movie "Downfall." The actual location of the bunker has since been turned into a parking lot. If you've seen "Downfall" or "Inglourious Basterds," you'll definitely feel a sense of familiarity. 🎬 #Berlin #BerlinTravel #ThingsToDoInBerlin #WWII #History #AntiWar #HiddenExhibitions #BerlinBunker
