Berlin | Carnivores and Carb Lovers, Land in Sarajevo đ„
After trying Balkan snacks in Hamburg, I finally got the chance to visit this internet-famous spot in Berlin. The place isnât big, with seating both indoors and outdoors, and it was still packed at 2 PM. đ đ„ ăÄevapiă The meat rolls come in three sizes: 5, 7, or 10 pieces. Theyâre firm, chewy, and packed with savory flavor. Honestly, popping one in your mouth would be super satisfying, but theyâre so delicious I couldnât eat them too quickly. đ„đ„ The main dish is served with Lepinja, a fluffy flatbread with a gelatinous texture from the air pockets inside. Itâs soft yet chewy, and the more you chew, the more flavorful it getsâcompletely winning over this carb lover. đ„â€ïž ăPljeskavicaă The meat patty comes in two versions: with or without cheese. I opted for the cheese-free one to keep the calories in check. The crust had a perfect Maillard reaction, and it was served with the same Lepinja flatbread. The patty and bread are about the same size, so itâs best to stack them like a burger and cut them into smaller pieces. This way, you get a richer textureâsoft on the outside and chewy on the inside. Itâs just as good as the meat rolls, and I absolutely loved it. đđȘ ăBurek with Meată Compared to cheese, spinach, or potato fillings, the meat-filled version is obviously the top choice. The pastry here is crispier and oilier than the one I had in Hamburg, and the meat filling is more abundant and satisfyingâtruly a bite of amazement . You can order a small portion (1/4 of the pie) or go for a full-sized one. The cost-performance ratio is excellent, and itâs highly recommended! đ„źđŻ #GermanCuisine #GermanLife #BerlinLife #BerlinFood #BerlinFoodExploration
