š» Berlin | Five River Vietnamese Creative Restaurant
One day after work, while pondering what to eat on my way home, I stumbled upon this place and, for some reason, walked in without hesitation. I didnāt even check the reviews or menu on Google. It was like fate, and since then, Iāve made it my regular spot. To be honest, Iām not quite sure how to evaluate Vietnamese food in Berlin. As a Chaozhou native, my understanding is limited to the Vietnamese soup noodles that are similar to Chaozhouās guotiao soup. Because of this, I usually wouldnāt make a special trip to a restaurant for Vietnamese noodles; they seem too ordinary to me. š Maybe the reason I like āFive Riverā is for its clean and elegant environment, the relaxing music I always hear when I sit down, and the comfort of slowly enjoying a meal by candlelight, away from the noise of other restaurants. š The series comes with three choices: salmon/tuna/duck. Iām stubborn and always order the salmon, so I encourage everyone else to try the other flavors and let me know if theyāre good. š„ŗ The salmon rice is light, paired with a tempura š¤, avocado š„, and vegetables š„¬. When I thought I might still be hungry, it turned out that I felt full until the next day. The salmon quality seems to depend on the day; I havenāt had a bad experience, but itās not consistently excellent. š„ Salad Series Iāve tried the salmon š£ avocado š„ and duck breast mango š„. The portions are really generous, and the flavors are great. Since I donāt eat onions š§ , I found the flavor and aftertaste of the onion in the duck a bit strong. But itās definitely worth a try. Sushi š£ and Noodles š Series These were tried by friends and are also worth recommending! Out of curiosity, I asked about the origin of the restaurantās name. It turns out that the ownerās hometown in Vietnam has a river, and he has four siblings, so āFive Riverā is also a nod to his hometown sentiment. The tableware is my favorite at the moment!!! #Berlin #BerlinRestaurantExploration #BerlinRestaurantRecommendations
