Berlin | The Hyped Restaurant That’s Always Packed 🍽️ Berta

Highlight: Make a reservation! On the first day, we just walked in and were told there were no spots available without a reservation. Two days later, we called to make a reservation and could only get a spot at 8:30 pm. Upon entering the restaurant, we realized it’s quite spacious, completely full, with the sounds of clinking glasses and gentle laughter filling the air 🥂 Apparently, it’s a fusion cuisine with an Israeli twist. 🥗 Starter We ordered their famous aubergine baba ganoush – this was truly delicious, with a texture similar to foie gras, and it was divine spread on bread. The seafood yogurt was also good, but it was nothing out of the ordinary, no surprises there. 🥂 We tried two white wines that the staff recommended as the best in the house, and they were pretty good. 🥙 Main Course We had the steak, Green Risotto, and grouper. The steak 🥩 was decent, not from a particularly fatty and expensive cut, but overall enjoyable, especially with the richness of the bone marrow. The potato was tasteless, probably just for decoration…. The Green Risotto was a first for me, and while it didn’t impress, it wasn’t bad either; my friends thought it was quite average. The grouper was a miss for the group; everyone felt the meat wasn’t fresh, a disappointment. 🍮 For dessert, we ordered two items, and they were just okay. In summary: A bit underwhelming considering we had to come twice to get a table. The overall seasoning of the dishes was on the sour side. The aubergine baba ganoush was a highlight, but the rest was just average. 📍 Berta Restaurant #Berlin #BerlinFood #BerlinFoodHunt #BerlinTravel #TrendyRestaurant
