Berlin 🥂|Perfect Value for Money 💯

🥺 Summer vibes are amazing when sitting outdoors! The head chef at Holly Gastrobar is French, and the cuisine is a fusion of local and classic French cooking. We ordered the 4-course set menu for €59 (without wine pairing). We were starving and assumed the portions would be tiny since it's fine dining, so we added two extra dishes... That’s how our "too full to move" experience began 🥲 Holly's portions are surprisingly generous! You'll definitely leave feeling full! Potato Bread with Pickles €10 A delicious and incredibly filling starter. And that’s just the beginning of the well-portioned set menu: Beef Tatar A hefty portion of beef tartare topped with crispy potato chips and salted egg yolk. Overall tasty, though the potato chips were a bit salty. Camembert de Normandie An entire baked Camembert cheese 🫕 Roasted Salsify A warm salad featuring salsify (aka the "root vegetable gathering"). Tasty and unexpectedly complimentary! Roasted Lamb Rump Grilled lamb, double the portion you'd expect at other fine dining spots like Aerde. The lamb skin is crisp, the meat tender and bouncy, and it comes with roasted kale. Loving the pickled rhubarb! The sweet and sour taste really balances out the richness. 🍨 Brombeeren Sobert Blackberry sorbet with crispy brown rice at the bottom. Weiße Spargel Eis White asparagus ice cream—creative, seasonal, creamy, and sweet. So delicious 🤤 It even came with crunchy rice and cream🧁 And that's not all! At the end, they gave us berry-flavored marshmallows, toasted with a torch, which had a perfect sweet and sour flavor. We were beyond full at this point. 🥂 We also opened a bottle of sparkling wine. After eight dishes, we were so full that we skipped both breakfast and lunch the next day—talk about value for money! Average per person: €120 (including tip). It would be much more affordable without drinks, but their wine selection is on the pricey side. . #BerlinDaily #LifeInGermany #Germany #AtmosphericRestaurant #DateNightRestaurant #FineDining #BerlinFood #BerlinLife #BerlinDateNightSpots #BerlinFoodRecommendations #BerlinRestaurants #HiddenGemsInBerlin #BerlinFoodMap
