Berlin 🇩🇪 | Guinness World’s Tallest Dinosaur Skeleton
Picking up from my last post, today I’m diving into a detailed guide of the Museum für Naturkunde zu Berlin and its precious exhibits ✨ 🎫 Opening Hours & Ticket Tips: The museum is open from Tuesday to Friday, 9:30 AM - 6 PM, and on weekends from 10 AM - 6 PM. It’s closed on Mondays and for special events‼️ Tickets can be booked online or purchased at the door. Adult tickets are €11, student tickets are €5 💶, and there are group tickets available for larger parties. Plus, the museum offers free entry on the first Sunday of every month🎟️ Which is an amazing deal! 🗺️ Exhibition Recommendations: Right at the entrance, you’re greeted by the most awe-inspiring dinosaur skeleton exhibit. The museum’s pride and joy, and a Guinness World Record holder, is the tallest dinosaur skeleton, Brachiosaurus brancai. Standing next to this magnificent skeleton really makes you feel tiny. The other dinosaur skulls and skeletons are super cool too. Another must-see exhibit is Evolution in Action, where 3000 animal specimens cover several walls, showcasing the vibrant diversity of the animal kingdom (I love the clueless bird in pic 5, and the deformed creatures I mentioned in my last post are here too). The Wet Collection is also impressively large, with the museum housing a total of 30 million specimens⚠️ in 276,000 jars, making it one of the most advanced collections in the world. ZUGvögel is a special exhibition that opened in June 2024, featuring over 11,500 exquisitely prepared bird specimens. The detailed craftsmanship is worth taking the time to appreciate🦜🦅🐦⬛🐧🦃🦉🐦 If you’re tired of walking, I recommend heading to The Cosmos and the Solar System exhibition hall, where you can relax on a sofa and watch space films projected on the ceiling. The galaxy and various planets are truly mesmerizing🪐☄️ The last gallery is home to Germany’s 🇩🇪 largest mineral collection, Minerals🪨, with 200,000 specimens representing 65% of known mineral species. It includes precious stones contributed by the Prussian kings and Alexander von Humboldt, the “Father of Modern Geography”. 📝In Summary: The Museum für Naturkunde zu Berlin is truly a breathtaking cultural treasure. It offers a unique and profound experience with many valuable and interesting exhibits that I can’t list them all. I’ll leave the rest for you, my friends, to discover and explore. Enjoy your visit to the museum! #FoodAndFunDiary #GermanTravel #TravelLog #Berlin #MuseumfürNaturkundezuBerlin #GuinnessWorldRecords #MuseumCheckIn #BerlinLife
