Berlin Cuisine | A Charming Place: Umami ✨
Finally made it to this highly recommended Vietnamese restaurant by many book-loving friends! The decor is incredibly quaint, filled with charming decorations like little lanterns, tatami mats, and various wooden utensils. I rushed over with my friends! 😄😄😄😄😄😄 🥗 We ordered some Vietnamese specialties, including crispy spring rolls and summer rolls served with a sweet sauce, along with massive shrimp! 🦐 The tangy and sweet green papaya salad was absolutely fantastic! (Papaya salad might just be the most stunning dish in Southeast Asia! 😋😋) 🍚 The Vietnamese pho came with generous chunks of beef—such a huge portion! 😅😅 However, I felt the broth wasn’t as fresh as the one from Berlin’s first pho place, which is always the classic. The fish bowl was really tasty, with a sauce reminiscent of rice bowl dishes. The roasted duck rice was decent too, though the sauce was a bit on the sweet side, making it easy to get tired of it. Also, if you want to order pho but prefer rice, just let the server know you’d like a small portion of pho so you can enjoy both the noodle soup and the rice dish! 😄😄😄😄 🥤 We tried a Sommerbrise, which is said to have a pineapple flavor. Although I didn’t quite taste it, it was really nice and refreshing! Their homemade drinks come highly recommended, so everyone should give them a try! 😄 Tip: This restaurant has three branches, all worth trying. I feel they should be quite similar. The average cost per person is around €20, which is filling and reasonably priced. Recommendation: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 #Germany #LifeInBerlin #BerlinDaily #RestaurantExploration #FoodieInBerlin #BerlinEats #Berlin
