Berlin Dinosaur and Lizard Age Exhibition 🦕🦖

Exhibition Dates: 2022.08.23 - 2024.11.30 Location: 📍 Natural History Museum, Berlin Admission: Requires museum entrance ticket The famous Tyrannosaurus rex fossil specimen, 'Tristan Otto', will return to the Natural History Museum in Berlin after two years, displayed alongside other dinosaur fossils from the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods. This T. rex is 12 meters long and 4 meters tall, estimated to have lived around 65 million years ago in the late Cretaceous period, and is one of the most well-preserved T. rex fossil specimens in the world. It was discovered in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana, USA, in 2010, took 4 years to excavate, and became part of the private collection of Danish entrepreneur Niels Nielsen. The collector named the specimen after his sons, Tristan and Otto, and loaned it to the Natural History Museum in Berlin for research and exhibition free of charge. 🏛️In 2015, 'Tristan Otto' officially joined the Natural History Museum in Berlin, becoming the first T. rex fossil skeleton specimen displayed in Europe, attracting over 3 million visitors by 2020.
