Berlin Eats|Adorable Sicilian Food 🍝

My friends and I seem to crave Italian food at least once a day. Among European cuisines, Italian is our favorite, and within that, Sicilian dishes top the list. There are very few Italian restaurants in Berlin that we regularly visit, and Il Moro is one of the rare gems that offers authentic, delicious Sicilian food that hits the spot. The owner and chef is a friend of a friend who lives in Sicily, so the ingredients are fresh, and the dishes are traditional and homey. 🌟 Highly recommended! Pagnotta Special Filled Bread 🫓 Never had this anywhere else before, and it was such a surprise! It’s listed as Pagnotta on the menu—two thin pizza-like bread slices filled with veggies and meat, warm and comforting. Definitely the best! Al Ragù Bolognese Pasta 🍝 Pork-based sauce with homemade trottolo pasta, topped with minced beef. All their pasta is handmade—wooow! It's perfectly chewy and hands down one of the best pastas I’ve had in Berlin. If you're passing by, don’t miss this! Antipasto Italiano 🥩🫑 A platter of appetizers, and everything was delicious, but unfortunately, they were sold out when we visited. Tiramisu 🍮 Super special, served with caramelized almonds. It was a bit sweet for me (I have a very low tolerance for sugar), but still delicious. My friends couldn’t stop raving about it! 💫 Other Dishes! Arancini Fried Rice Balls 🍘 Tried both flavors. For meat lovers, go for the ragù with mozzarella, pork, and beef sauce; for vegetarian friends, try the spinach one. The meat version was slightly better. Parmigiana 🍆 Fried eggplant with tomato sauce, parmesan, mozzarella, and basil, served with focaccia bread—fragrant and flavorful! Pizza 🍕 Their pizzas are generally all excellent, with a 72-hour fermented dough that’s healthy, tasty, and easy to digest. Al Nero Squid Ink Pasta 🍝 Squid ink sauce. It’s pretty good at any Italian restaurant, but compared to the Al Ragù, it was slightly less exciting. Risotto 🍚 Delicious! Made with seasonal ingredients, it also looked beautiful. The wine selection is good too, and with drinks, the average cost is €25-45 per person. Reservations: by phone or online. #BerlinLife #BerlinDaily #BerlinRestaurantReviews #BerlinEats
