A restaurant with a lot going on, but also full of surprises! 😄 🧾 Before the Meal They served free bread, a glass of champagne 🥂, and a side dish with veggies and salami—everything was on the salty side. The champagne gets taken away before the main course. Back when I was in Poland, the restaurants there also served something formal before the main meal, not just bread. It usually came with salty snacks like finger food. 🧾 Fischsuppe (Fish Soup) The fish soup had shrimp, cod, and squid rings. It tasted very seafood-y and salty with a slightly fishy aroma (honestly, it was a bit too salty if you drink it by itself 😂). 🧾 Gulaschsuppe (Goulash Soup) This spicy beef soup was richer and more intense than the fish soup, with a tangy, spicy kick that really stimulated the appetite. In conclusion, both soups were salty for me, but of course, your mileage may vary! 🧾 6 Schnecken (6 Snails) This was my first time trying snails 🐌! They provided tools similar to what you use for escargot. However, the meat inside was dark and… well, hard to describe 😅. My friend said snails in Paris aren’t this dark 🥲. 🧾 Filetsteak with Mushroom Sauce Pan-seared beef tenderloin with mushroom sauce. I must say, European beef tends to have a strong gamey flavor 😅. The sauce was delicious, though. The steak, however… well, it’s hard to judge. It’s more like a regular grilled beef tenderloin than a proper filet steak 😂. And wow, the portion was huge! 🧾 Tappas Variadas (Tapas Platter) This platter was massive—it practically took up half the table! It included fried small fish, fried squid rings, roasted potatoes, chicken thighs, two types of ham, two types of fried shrimp, small green peppers, and more. It was a portion meant for two, but as two girls, we couldn’t finish it! 😆 🧾 Leche Frita (Fried Milk Custard) For dessert, we had fried milk custard served with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce. It was delicious 😋, and again, a huge portion! Highly recommended! 🧾 Baileys This place had a variety of liqueurs to try. I chose Baileys, which had a nice ice-cream flavor to it. Super tasty! In conclusion, this restaurant offers a lot of variety and some pleasant surprises.
