Berlin Food Find | A 400-Year-Old Restaurant Once Visited by Napoleon!

How can you visit Germany without trying a classic pork knuckle? A friend recommended this historic spot – apparently Napoleon himself dined here! 🎩🇫🇷 Reservations are required via email or phone, and I must say… the atmosphere did not disappoint! The sign outside reads “Since 1621” – that makes it over 400 years old! 🎂🏛️ And yes, you can see the Berlin TV Tower right from the entrance. The outdoor seating is set in a spacious courtyard under tall, shady trees 🌳🍃 – even in August, the breeze kept everything cool and comfortable. Indoors is quieter, filled with vintage decor and walls that tell stories of the past 🕰️📜. We ordered the classic pork knuckle – tender, flavorful, and seasoned with large aromatic spices. The skin is best enjoyed while hot and crispy! 😋🔥 Another surprise favorite was the cabbage roll stuffed with meat – the sauce was incredible! 🥬🍖 Just be careful when cutting – it’s delicate! The menu is included in the last photo for reference~ 📸👀 🍽️ Restaurant: Zur Letzten Instanz 📍 Address: Waisenstraße 14-16, 10179 Berlin A must-visit for history, vibe, and truly authentic German flavors! #Germany #BerlinEats #EuropeanLife #Foodie #HistoricRestaurant #NapoleonAteHere #PorkKnuckle #BerlinFoodGuide #TravelGermany
