Berlin Marriott Group: The Ritz-Carlton Berlin
My recent stay at The Ritz-Carlton Berlin was a solid experience—no big surprises, but no letdowns either. It’s ideal for travelers with a generous budget who prioritize location and brand experience. 💰 Price Base Room: €375 per night. Breakfast: €55 extra (not included in the room rate). Total: €429 per night. This pricing is slightly above average for high-end hotels in Berlin; value for money depends on your needs. 👑 Platinum Elite Benefits Room Upgrade: None offered during this stay. Inclusions: No complimentary breakfast or access to the Executive Lounge (lounge access seems to require Titanium Elite status or higher). Welcome Amenity: Fresh fruit + one beverage. The welcome letter (see Photo 4) was in Chinese—definitely a nice touch! Late Check-Out: Approved until 16:00, which is super practical, especially for those catching an evening flight. 🥐 Breakfast Experience Breakfast combines a buffet with a la carte options. The food quality is excellent (menu shown in Photo 6), with plating and a comfortable service pace—no rushing, which makes the morning relaxed. 🙋♂️ Service From the front desk to the restaurant, staff were generally friendly and attentive. I’d read some Xiaohongshu reviews mentioning “so-so service,” but I didn’t encounter any issues this time. It probably depends on the staff on duty and how you communicate. 🛁 Facilities & Room The room features classic Ritz-Carlton style: “old money” elegance—stable, retro, and full of subtle details. The bathroom has separate dry/wet areas, with a standalone shower and bathtub. Maintenance is good, meeting the expected standards of a 5-star hotel. 📍 Location (Biggest Advantage!) The hotel is right next to Potsdamer Platz U-Bahn station—just a few steps from the subway. It’s also within walking distance of the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag Building, and shopping districts. Perfect for first-time visitors to Berlin or trips focused on sightseeing. 😋 Summary For Marriott Platinum members, “getting perks” at Ritz-Carlton overseas is tougher—no room upgrade, no free breakfast, no lounge access. However, if your goal is to experience the brand, enjoy reliable service, and stay in a prime location, this property is worth considering. Its breakfast, service details, and location all deliver consistent, quality performance. #TheRitzCarlton #MarriottGroup #BerlinHotels #BerlinMarriott
