Berlin Museum Island - Neues Museum 🏛️

Museum Island is definitely worth a visit, with many famous attractions nearby. A one-day ticket feels like it's good for visiting a maximum of 2-3 museums. Personally, I take my time, so I only managed to see the Neues Museum and the Old National Gallery. I’ll share my thoughts on the Neues here and save the Alte for another post. ✨ ⭐ On the day I visited, there was no need to queue; I purchased my tickets in advance on the official website. They also offer audio guides, which was one of the main reasons for my choice. 🎧 🏺 The exhibits mainly feature ancient Egyptian artifacts and local historical items. The most famous piece is probably the bust of Nefertiti, often regarded as one of the most beautiful sculptures (the other being the Venus de Milo at the Louvre). 🌸 🏛️ The architecture of the exhibition hall itself is also quite distinctive and filled with stories. The damaged ancient structures have been integrated with modern restorations, and the visible cracks serve as reminders of war and suffering (it seems Berlin has many such buildings). 🏗️ 💰 Near the exit on the first floor, there’s a souvenir shop with some really nice ancient Egyptian trinkets (though they can be quite pricey).
