Best Photo Spots in Honolulu Botanical Garden
Don’t just stop at the entrance of the botanical garden! 🚗 Drive about 1 mile in, and you’ll find a large grassy area on your right . This is truly the most scenic part of the garden — popular with both tourists and locals for picnics and photos. Highly recommend spending more time here! 😍 If you don’t have time for activities inside Kualoa Ranch, you can still enjoy similar landscapes during an East Coast drive! 🏞️ The mountains here are connected to the botanical garden area, but with the added bonus of ocean views and way fewer people. We ran around freely on the vast green fields — so much fun! 📍 Navigate to: Public Parking, 49-479 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, HI 96744 We also went snorkeling at Shark’s Cove 🐠 — park across the street at Foodland for plenty of space. The underwater scene was full of life… like, REALLY full 🤿 Wrapped up the day at Lanikai Beach and Waimanalo Beach for sunset 🌅: Lanikai: shorter coastline, soft fine sand Waimanalo: longer stretch, windy — great for surfing 🏄 🗺️ Recommended East Oahu Route: Pearl Harbor → Shark’s Cove → Botanical Garden → Lanikai / Waimanalo Beaches Start early! If you have a Pearl Harbor reservation, one day is enough. Walk-ins may need 2-3 extra hours for waiting. Splitting into two days is ideal — you can also add Diamond Head Trail and Dole Plantation 🍍 We adjusted our plans due to jet lag, but that just means we have more to explore next time! 🌺 #US #Hawaii #Honolulu
