Best Viewpoint in Munich - St. Peter's Church
St. Peter’s Church in Munich ⛪️ About St. Peter’s Church (St. Peter): It’s the oldest church in the inner city of Munich. Long before Munich was even founded in 1158, there was already a church on this site. In the 8th century, monks lived around a hilltop church here. By the end of the 12th century, a Bavarian Romanesque church was built, but it was expanded into a Gothic style shortly before it was destroyed by fire in 1327. In 1368, a new church was constructed. In the early 17th century, a 92-meter high Renaissance-style tower and Baroque choir stalls were added. 🎫 Tickets: Adults €5 ⏰ Opening hours: Tower open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 - 18:00 🪢 Tips for your visit: Try to time your visit to catch the Rathaus-Glockenspiel show at the New Town Hall! 🎠 The clock tower’s “Glockenspiel” is the fourth-largest puppet show in Europe, performing every day at 11:00, 12:00, and 17:00.
