Beyond the Resorts! Las Vegas Food Scene Isn’t Just Inside Hotels 🍢
If I had to recommend just one restaurant in Las Vegas, it would probably be this Japanese yakitori spot: 📍 Hachi – Japanese Yakitori Izakaya 3410 S Jones Blvd (Google rating: 4.6 ⭐ – popular, expect lines, reservations recommended!) Sure, the resorts have it all—great food, drinks, spa, pools, gyms—everything under one roof for a seamless, lazy getaway. But I also wanted to step outside and taste what local life feels like. After driving around and searching for well-rated gems, we found this treasure of a spot. We stuck mostly to yakitori and skipped the seafood this time. Here’s what we tried (no note means it was a hit!) 👍: 🌟 Shishito Pepper & Lotus Salad with spinach 🌟 Premium Wagyu Tongue 🌟 Premium Wagyu Beef 🌟 Grilled Shrimp w/ Tartar Sauce – okay, but wouldn’t reorder 🌟 Scallop w/ Butter & Soy Sauce 🌟 Chicken Skin 🌟 Chicken w/ Citron Pepper 🌟 Bacon-Wrapped Enoki Mushroom 🌟 Yakitori Bowl with onsen egg – mix it in for extra flavor! Small portion, about the size of a home rice bowl. 🌟 Honey Toast – huge (like a whole loaf of bread!) and got a bit too sweet toward the end. Two people couldn’t finish it. 🌟 Otokeyama Junmai Sake – a historically celebrated sake from the Edo period. First time trying warmed sake—nice with a bit of history too! Warm food, warm drinks, under a perfect evening sky. 🌙 #LasVegas #VegasTravel #VegasEats #WhatToEatInVegas #VegasRestaurants #VegasFoodie
