Bhutan, a peaceful and happy country

I planned to visit this mysterious country of Bhutan 10 years ago, and finally made it happen 10 years later.๐Ÿ‘ As soon as I got off the plane, the luggage conveyor belt at the airport gave me a surpriseโ€”thereโ€™s a replica of Bhutanโ€™s landmark in the middle of the conveyor belt (Picture 6).๐Ÿฅฅ Tiger's Nest Monastery, Bhutan's most famous attraction.๐Ÿ“ Punakha Dzong.๐ŸŒฝ I happened to catch a religious ceremony when visiting the Thimphu Buddha.๐ŸŒฝ I must praise my Bhutanese guideโ€”heโ€™s such a kind person.๐Ÿ“ My travel partner and I are both into photography, each carrying a camera bag.๐Ÿฅ• Along the way, including during the hike up and down Tiger's Nest Monastery, our guide insisted on helping us carry the camera bags. ๐Ÿ“ Thatโ€™s no light load, especially since the hike up Tiger's Nest involves a vertical climb of 900 meters.๐Ÿ“ Visa: The e-visa is very easy to get. ๐ŸŒฝ The visa fee is 40 USD, and in addition, you need to pay a sustainable development fee of 100 USD per night.๐Ÿ“ For example, if you stay in a hotel for 3 nights, youโ€™ll pay 300 USD.๐Ÿ… Accommodation: Bhutan has a good range of hotels, from a few hundred to over ten thousand yuan. ๐Ÿฅ‘ Even hotels costing a few hundred yuan a night are in decent condition.๐ŸŒ Flights: There are direct flights from Bangkok (Thailand), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Kathmandu (Nepal), etc.๐Ÿ‘ You can book directly on the website of Druk Air (Royal Bhutan Airlines).๐Ÿฅ Tickets: Most attractions in Bhutan cost 500 Ngultrum per person (about 43 RMB), and Tiger's Nest Monastery costs 1000 Ngultrum per person๐Ÿ‰. You can also ride a horse for half the way up Tiger's Nest, with a one-way price of over 100 USD.๐ŸŽ Notes: Taking photos inside Bhutanโ€™s monasteries is prohibited. ๐ŸŽ Smoking is banned nationwide, and itโ€™s not allowed even in open areas in towns, but hotels all have smoking rooms. ๐Ÿฅ’ When visiting monasteries, you need to wear long pants; for Tiger's Nest Monastery, long sleeves are also required.๐Ÿ‰ Bhutan has started to allow independent travel, but without a guide, you canโ€™t enter monasteries and can only visit two cities. ๐Ÿ Local guides and car rental services are very affordable.๐Ÿ Itโ€™s recommended to travel with a guide to have a deeper understanding of Bhutan. ๐Ÿ Choosing a good guide is important.๐ŸŠ #My
