Bio & Vegetarian Restaurant

🔍 **Carduccio - Il Salotto Bio** 📍 **Sdrucciolo de' Pitti, 10 R, 50125 Firenze FI** 💰 **Average Cost: €13-20** A hidden gem of a Bio & Vegetarian café tucked away in an alley opposite the Pitti Palace. This place not only serves breakfast, lunch, and functions as a wine bar, but also doubles as a grocery store selling bio (organic) foods. The shop is small, with a decor that exudes a simple yet cozy and warm atmosphere. There’s an ultra-tiny outdoor seating area at the back, just enough for two people, surrounded by greenery. The kitchen is open, right next to the bar, and they prepare food using ingredients directly from the grocery section. It’s reassuring to see all the fresh ingredients on display. The menu offers vegetarian options, as well as vegan and gluten-free choices. Currently, the place is run by the pregnant owner and a waiter, so the service might be a bit slow. We visited in the morning and had a brunch of yogurt bowl 🥣 & Golden milk 🫚, Açaí bowl 🥣 & Chai tea latte 🥛. The portions were small. The Açaí bowl tasted good, but it had fewer toppings than expected. The Chai tea latte had ginger and cinnamon, not as sweet as Starbucks’ version, and was perfect for a cold winter day. The Golden milk and yogurt bowl were pretty standard. There are many options for freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, and various porridges on the menu, so I’ll definitely try something else next time. And the best part? No seat charge! 💰 #Florence #FlorenceFood #FlorenceFoodGuide #ItalianLife #StudyingInItaly #ItalianStudentLife #OverseasLife #Bio #Vegetarian #Brunch
