A 5-hour speedrun tour of Birminghamβs highlights β just follow the Google addresses! πΊοΈβ We started at 9 AM from Nottingham and took a one-hour taxi to: π― Peaky Blinders Mural π 84 Hill St, Birmingham B5 4AH A short walk led us to the second stop: π― Victoria Square Saw a couple taking wedding photos here β so romantic! πβ€οΈ π 38 Paradise St, Birmingham B1 2AF Right ahead was the third stop: π― Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery The museum is divided into different cultural zones. I was surprised to see a heavy metal exhibit β it turned out to be a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary vocalist who recently passed away. π€πΈ π Chamberlain Sq, Birmingham B3 3DH We wanted to visit the Birmingham Library, but it was closed on Sunday π π§₯ Tip: Bring a windbreaker β we had a light drizzle that didnβt last long! By then we were super hungry, so we rushed to the fourth stop: π― Birmingham Chinatown We tried Malaysian food β check my last post for details! Lots of great restaurants around here. ππ₯’ π Unit A1/A3, The Arcadian Centre, 70 Hurst St, Birmingham B5 4TD Fifth stop: two churches! βͺ Birmingham Cathedral It was closed when we arrived β not sure why, so we didnβt go in. π Cathedral Square, Colmore Row, Birmingham B3 2QB βͺ St. Martin in the Bull Ring Highly recommended! We were lucky to see worshippers in vibrant clothing praying and praising through dance and African drumming. It felt spiritual and cleansing. πβ¨ π Edgbaston St, Birmingham B5 5BB Last stop: π― Bullring & Grand Central Mall Plenty of familiar brands, and a Jellycat section on the second floor! π§ΈποΈ π Moor St, Birmingham B5 4BU Overall, Birmingham is way livelier than I expected β we covered almost everything in half a day!
