🎶🎻 Birmingham Symphony Hall 🎶🎻

A huge thank you to Principal Conductor Kazuki Yamada, pianist Fazil Say, and the performers of the CBSO for today's amazing performance! 👏👏 Program: Symphony No.1 in D major, Op.25 by Prokofiev 🎼🎹 Piano Concerto No.2 in G minor, Op.22 by Saint-Saëns 🎹🎼 Symphonic Dances, Op.45 by Rachmaninoff 💃🕺 Kazuki Yamada's body language during his conducting of the first and third pieces was a testament to his vast experience and deep understanding of the music. 🧠🎶 But what was truly breathtaking was Fazil Say's interpretation of the second piece. After releasing the first chord, he chose to pluck the strings directly to repeat the chord, instantly immersing the audience in a deep, somber, yet heroic atmosphere with the low notes. 🎹😮 And of course, we can't overlook the full performance energy and vivid stage rapport of the other CBSO musicians - a century-old orchestra that truly deserves its reputation. 🎻🎶 #BirminghamLife #BirminghamConcert #CBSO 🏛️🎶
