Blenheim Palace
Blenheim Palace (also known as Churchill Estate) is located near Oxford.ππ π It was one of the places I visited shortly after arriving in the UK. From Oxford Parkway Station to the entrance of the estate, there is a thick stretch of greenery, making it perfect for a solo weekend to soak up the sun. βοΈ Lying or strolling on the grass in the garden gives a sense of happiness as if a British drama has come to life.πΎ The sign at the entrance reads "Welcome to Britainβs greatest palace".π As the ancestral home of the Churchill family and the birthplace of Winston Churchill, this estate is indeed well worth a visit, with a style completely different from Chatsworth House.π π The Baroque-style building is exquisite, and the interior decoration is magnificent, recording the important events in Churchill's life. ποΈ The fountain circular path in the garden is stunning. The beauty of the palace is magnificent and outward, while the lake on the opposite bank is quiet and serene.π It feels like every window offers a breathtaking view.π£π£ Thinking of the Churchill statue in the President's Square opposite Big Ben.π» There's a sense of the Prime Minister and the empire he guarded. Perhaps locals have a deeper affection for this place.ππ #travel#UKTravel#ChurchillEstate#BlenheimPalace
