Bonn Weekend Getaway: König Animal Museum 🐘🦒
✨A three-story, small but classically exquisite museum with a history of 112 years, offering a unique journey around the world through displays of various animal specimens and their habitats, perfect for bringing children. The animal specimens are very realistic, and the scientific significance is strong. Searching for hidden animals in different exhibition windows is also quite interesting. ✨Upon entering, you'll find the museum's atrium, which is the African savannah, the core of the museum, aiming to convey the complex relationships between different species in this habitat. It showcases many endangered savannah animals, such as giraffes, African pythons, and a lifelike model of a large baobab tree~ ✨Crossing the savannah to the African rainforest, in a 50+ square meter 3D model, the undergrowth of the African lowland rainforest is detailed, with an explanation button in front of each model window. By controlling beams of light in different directions, it assists in discovering the hidden rainforest animals~ Continue your journey through the "cold tunnel" to the Antarctic and Arctic to observe whales, penguins, and polar bears in, under, and on the ice. Next, visit the desert area where you can touch real sand from the Sahara Desert. Like the polar regions, this section is also rich in scientific knowledge. The basement level focuses on "water," freshwater habitats, including over 60 kinds of live animals such as fish, frogs, and snakes (the only ones on display). ✨Tip: There are hidden specimen fish in the tanks, a test of your eyesight awaits. The second floor mainly showcases the animal specimen collection of the founder and zoologist, Alexander König, especially butterflies, and some interactive spaces where you can experience an AR hot air balloon. ✨The third floor also features a "Central Europe" section, as well as temporary exhibitions, such as photography shows. Adult tickets are 6 euros, and students get a half-price discount~ The museum is located in an affluent area, and there is a railway crossing. If you have time, it's worth exploring. #RomanticLifeDocumenter #CityWalk #Germany #NorthRhineWestphalia #WeekendPlans
