Bosnia and Herzegovina | Sarajevo Restaurant Recommendations ✅
Spent 24 hours in Sarajevo and tried three restaurants: ✅ 1. Ćevabdžinica Specijal 👉 Ordered ćevapi — a local specialty: grilled minced meat (sausage-like) wrapped in fluffy flatbread. The diced onions added a sweet touch that cut through the richness. 👉 Also tried skewers: perfectly grilled with tender meat. 👉 Yogurt (1.5 KM) was decent, but small Coke (3 KM/bottle) felt overpriced. Total: 34.5 KM. Compared to Montenegro, it’s a steal! 🤣 ✅ 2. Olimpik Buregdzinica 😋 Tried burek with potato, meat, and cheese fillings. Ask for a mixed plate! Potato was my favorite. 👉 Four pieces for 5 KM! Unbelievably affordable. 👉 Pair with yogurt or Coke. Tap water (free) available. ⚠️ 3. Metropolis Midtown (Avoid! 🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️ Rude service) Near Sacred Heart Cathedral. Went for breakfast but left furious. Arrived around 9:00 AM: The exchange: Me: "Hello, good morning. Can we sit here?" (pointing to a table) Waiter: "Sit wherever you want." (stone-faced) 😑 What happened next: Waited 10+ minutes after seating. Signaled to order 3 times — he deliberately ignored us. (He served later arrivals, handled bills, adjusted empty tables’ fans, and chatted instead.) Made eye contact — he knew we were waiting but refused to come. Final attempt: Me: "Excuse me, can we order now?" Waiter: "Wait here." (cold stare) 😑 Result: I slammed the menu on the table and walked out. He showed zero remorse — clearly intentional! 👿 #Sarajevo#SarajevoTravel
