🇧🇦 Sarajevo: Great to Explore & Delicious to Eat!
Spent 2.5 days trying 8 spots—almost no disappointments! All in the Old Town and very affordable (especially compared to Croatia 😂). Check the numbers in the pics for reference. 1️⃣ Ćevabdžinica Željo Their grilled meat is fantastic! 5 pieces are enough for one person. So popular they expanded to 3 shops! 2️⃣ Bosnian Coffee Worth a try! Served in traditional white cups. The most artistic spot is Teahouse Džirlo. ☕ 3️⃣ Burek (Beef "roll" pie?) From Sač—amazing spices and texture! 4️⃣ Nanina Kuhinja (Local cuisine) Appetizer: Red pepper with cheese. Main: Beef meatballs wrapped in veggies, in a rich tomato broth. Fresh and flavorful! 5️⃣ Barhana Their grilled dishes (including steak) are top-notch—even the veggie platter screams quality (charcoal-grilled!). Also tried: Goulash (my closest to Hungarian style, never been there 😅) Bosnian Pot (beef stew)—both super savory! 6️⃣ Another Burek Spot (Bosna) Not as good as Sač. Thicker, less crispy crust. Spinach filling was oddly sour—not my taste, but others might like it. 7️⃣ Dveri Perfect for post-meal tea! Cozy and charming. Prosciutto: Generous thick cuts. Appetizer dip (top-right): Delicious! Sausage & beans stew: Surprisingly spicy and tasty. 8️⃣ Restoran Careva Ćuprija Beef dumplings (Klepe) & eggplant stuffed with veggies—so good but portions are small. Ottoman Empire knows how to do eggplant! 🍆 #Travel #FoodDiary #RestaurantRecs #BalkansTrip #BosniaTravel #Sarajevo 🍽️✨
