Boston’s Enchanting Deer Forest 🦌 at Southwick Zoo
Just a 1-hour drive from Boston 🚗 with Free parking 🎫 General Admission: Adult $29/ Child$23💲 (If you have enough time, I recommend buying the $40 Combo Skyfari+Train - see pic 8 for a view from the cable car circling the zoo) ⏰ Suggested visit time: Over 3 hours, open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm 🌟After September 26, the zoo hosts its annual Nighttime Pumpkin Lantern Festival 🎃 Lantern Journey. Tickets are $40 per person. As the largest zoo in New England, the experience is truly fantastic, with hundreds of animals to see up close 🐅🦏🐫🦘. The zoo isn’t crowded, allowing for quiet observation and interaction. Sitting on a bench in the afternoon, you can look up to see kids excitedly wiggling their little legs on the Skyfari, reminiscent of childhood spring outings to the zoo. 🦌 The Deer Forest is at the southernmost part of the zoo, deep within the park. I highly recommend bringing a bunch of quarters to exchange for corn to feed the deer. If you forget, you can also exchange at the entrance supermarket. The deer are very gentle and polite 🥹, but some are easily startled. It’s best to squat down (to their level) to feed them; they’ll approach you-friendly and slowly. #BostonLife #BostonSurroundings #BostonWeekend #Zoo #Boston #DayTripsFromBoston
