Boston | Don’t Miss the Otters 🦦 When Hiking at Blue Hills

I’ve been to Blue Hills for hiking so many times, but I’ve never visited this little museum. The weather was nice today, and my Mass Audubon membership was about to expire, so I decided to take a stroll and check out the little animals! The museum is small, but the animals are huge! There are both indoor and outdoor sections with several types of owls (I was amazed to see owls up close for the first time 🦉), several types of eagles 🦅, super active otters 🦦, cute deer 🦌, sleepy foxes 🦊, and more… You can also go to the picnic area in the back and there are special hiking trails. It’s $5 for non-Mass Audubon members, but it seems like you can just walk into the outdoor part for free. If you’re a Mass Audubon member, it’s free 🆓. The membership was$35 for two people when I bought it last year, which was a pretty good deal! You get free access to many Mass Audubon hiking nature reserves, and after visiting a few places, you’ve already earned back the membership fee. After visiting the museum, I headed to the nearby Trillium Brewing Company to grab a pack of mango passion fruit sour to take home. So delicious! It’s slightly acidic with a rich fruit flavor. The brewery was so lively on the weekend! #BostonWeekend #BostonLife #BostonWeekendVibes #BostonBrewery #BostonFoodAndFun #WhereToGoInBoston #BostonFun #BostonDayTrips #BostonWeekendGetaways #BostonAreaActivities
