🍣 Boston | High-Value Omakase at UMAMI
After trying all the omakase spots in Boston, Umami is the one I keep coming back to—I’ve been there 5 or 6 times now! I went again recently, and while the menu hasn’t changed much, some sashimi and sushi dishes have been updated with seasonal ingredients. They offer two menu options, with reservation times at 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM. 18 Courses: 168pp∗∗(Tue−Thu,Sun)💸∗∗178 pp (Fri-Sat) 15 Courses: 💸 $138 pp (Tue-Thu, Sun) The 18-course sequence usually goes like this: A bowl of miso soup Several sashimi dishes, like oysters and uni spoons A whole langoustine—their signature dish A variety of sushi A refreshing sesame cold noodle dish and smoked duck in between Must-haves like toro (fatty tuna), caviar, black truffle, A5 wagyu, and foie gras Ends with a hand roll Dessert is mango pudding. You can also add bafun uni or kama toro as extras. Overall, the experience and flavors are well worth the price. While the ingredients might not be as high-end as 311 or O Ya, the creativity is definitely top-tier in Boston. 📍 Umami #BostonLife #BostonWeekend #Boston #BostonEats #Omakase #HiddenGem #BostonRestaurants #BostonSushi #RestaurantRecs
