Boston | Petting Various Exotic Animals, Capybaras, and Sloths!

A hidden gem zoo near Boston. Let me tell you about the little animals I got to pet: Owls 🦉, Honey Bears, two types of Armadillos, African Porcupines, Crested Porcupines, Skunks 🦨, Foxes 🦊, Crocodiles 🐊, Blue-Tongued Lizards 🦎, Snakes, Frogs 🐸, Turtles 🐢, Martens, and Scottish Highland Cattle. Ticket options are as follows: General Admission: $16/person (access to all animals) Choose 6 animals to interact with for $50/person,$100/couple (I chose this one) Capybara encounter: $66/15min Owl encounter: $50/30min (there’s also an owl handling class which instantly reminds me of Harry Potter 🧙‍♂️) Sloth encounter: $300/4 people Feline encounter: $100/1.5h (it’s so cool with lynxes and caracals) Reptile encounter: $25/person There are other types of tickets available, and all include general admission. If you don’t want to spend extra money, you can just buy a general admission ticket and still pet small animals because the staff will walk around with the animals and ask if you want to pet them. They’ll also ask if there’s anything you’d like to learn more about during your visit and take the animals out of their cages to introduce them to you. When we were done petting the armadillos, there was a couple just browsing nearby. Our guide asked if they wanted to learn more and let them pet a big frog, and I got to pet it too. Petting turtles, rabbits, sheep, alpacas, and Scottish Highland Cattle doesn’t require an additional ticket. There are also free shows where the staff will educate about the animals, answer questions from the audience, and let everyone pet the animals at the end. #BostonLife #BostonOutskirts #BostonTravel
