Boston Restaurant Week | Bar 'Cino🇮🇹
I've been eyeing Bar 'Cino for years, and this year I finally got to try it—no disappointments!❤️ First Course 🧀 Fried Ricotta A solid ricotta ball, crispy on the outside! The pesto and tomato sauce on the bottom add a lot of depth, making the cheese ball not greasy at all. 🥬 Roasted Beets Beets without that earthy taste are the best! The pistachios were generously scattered, almost half a bowl—so honest! Second Course Both main dishes were a delightful surprise!! 🦆 Duck Confit This is very different from the usual French confit duck legs. It's stewed until it's tender and falls off the bone with a fork. The parsnip puree underneath has a hint of sweetness, maybe from pears or oranges. Fruit and duck meat are a perfect match. 🍝 Orrechiette It feels like there aren't many restaurants in Boston that make orecchiette! The portion here is huge—we were all shocked when it was served. Every bite of the orecchiette is filled with pesto, and occasionally you'll find a piece of mozzarella that looks like pasta but is dyed green. A little surprise! The bitterness of broccoli rabe balances it perfectly. It's just right. When we couldn't finish, we took it home and enjoyed it again the next day. Third Course 🍨 Pistachio Gelato This gelato is very memorable. The pistachio flavor is so rich that you can hardly taste the creaminess. It's clearly not a fake pistachio flavor made with food coloring and almonds. Perfect score!💯 🍰 Brown Sugar Blueberry Cake This one is a bit on the sweet side. It's a standard moist cake with blueberries that aren't very pronounced. Our verdict: it's more like a giant muffin. The Brookline location is quite spacious, and it feels like you can walk in without a reservation. The overall experience was great—I'd definitely come back for a regular meal.🫶 🏠 Bar 'Cino Brookline #BostonLife #BostonEats #Boston #HiddenGems #BostonFood #StudentEats #BostonRestaurantWeek #DineOutBoston #BostonRestaurantHopping #BostonWeekend
