Breathtaking Photo Spot at Hohensalzburg Fortress 🏰
There’s only one thing to do in Salzburg: find this incredible view! 📍 Starting point: Stairway passage near Linzer Gasse Platzl (Imbergstiege) – navigate via Google Maps 🗺️ This hidden stairway, called Imbergstiege, is easy to miss. Look for a wall with a Jesus image – you’re in the right place! Start climbing the steps. At a fork, take the right archway and continue upward. 📍 Kapuzinerkloster Monastery Viewing Platform After a steep 5-minute climb, you’ll reach the monastery’s platform. Catch your breath here while enjoying views of Mirabell Palace and Mozart’s Residence 🌄. 📍 Mozart Statue Continue upward along the monastery wall until you reach Mozart’s statue 🎻. Pause briefly, then take the main path to the right of the statue (no steps!). It’s a gentle uphill walk. 📍 Yellow House Walk for about 10 minutes. At a fork, either path works. Pass a yellow house 🟡 and a few other buildings until you reach one last key fork. A small, easy-to-miss yellow sign points downhill ⬇️. From here, tread carefully! 📍 Hanging Metal Steps Just ahead, you’ll encounter the most challenging part: a series of hanging metal steps 🪜. Use the steel cable along the rock wall for support as you climb down – grip firmly and wear anti-slip shoes (hiking boots recommended!🥾). 📍 Stone Pavilion – Ultimate Photo Spot At the bottom, follow a chest-high wall for about 50m. You’ll find a stone pavilion extending over the wall – this is the spot: Blick auf die Salzburg Altstadt 📸! (I walked along the high wall but recommend the dirt path for easier access.) Hope this guide helps all adventurers heading there! 👍 Like + Follow if you found it useful. Thanks! ❤️ #Austria #Salzburg #Vienna #TravelMemories 🇦🇹✨
