Bringing Kids to Watch F1 in Vegas Ended in Chaos…
This trip was absolutely INSANE — in both the best and worst ways! 🍽️ FOOD – The Unforgettable Highlight! You can’t come to Vegas without treating yourself to fine dining — this city gathers some of the world’s top chefs, especially for Western cuisine. We had dinner at Caramá by Wolfgang Puck in the Mandalay Bay Hotel (where we stayed). Self-parking? It’s the first spot on your right — super easy to find! We chose to sit outside — brighter, more airy, and perfect with kids. They loved watching people walk by 🚶♀️👀 👧 Kid’s Pick: Rigatoni Bolognese The thick pasta had the perfect chew, and the meat sauce was rich but not salty — a cozy, mom-style classic. Our little one devoured it! 👩 My Dish: Prime Beef Tenderloin (Medium) I don’t eat fat or gristle, so tenderloin is my go-to. This one was JUICY, tender, and cooked to perfection. No gamey taste — just pure beefy goodness with a lightly charred crust. A little salt, pepper, and its natural flavor? HEAVEN. 👨 Hubby’s Pick: Maine Lobster Risotto Expertly cooked lobster and al dente rice in a sweet, creamy sauce — absolutely delicious! But honestly, the pasta and steak were so mind-blowing, the risotto almost paled in comparison 😅 🏆 Verdict: This might be the BEST meal I’ve had in Vegas over the years. Award-winning chef, unforgettable flavors — a MUST visit! 🏎️ F1 EXPERIENCE – Total Mess 😫 My first time watching F1 live in Vegas turned into a navigation nightmare. We left the hotel at 1:40 PM and didn’t find our correct entrance until almost 6 PM — over 2 hours of walking in circles! The event organization was TERRIBLE: One address on the e-ticket, but different zones had different entrances No clear signs, no shuttles — just endless walking around blocked-off streets Our kids were absolute troopers — no complaints, just occasional requests to be carried 💔 We got lucky and caught an Uber that saved us 40 minutes of walking… but still had to hike after getting dropped off. 🚨 PSA for Flamingo Zone attendees: DO NOT DRIVE 🚫 Take the monorail to the LINQ stop — you’ll walk in much faster. The organizers dropped the ball big time — I’m not coming back for this event. 🎡 Other Fun: Omega Mart at Area15 Went in the morning — so trippy, artistic, and fun! Highly recommend for a unique, immersive experience. #VegasGuide #VegasEats #VegasWithKids #F1Fail #FineDiningVegas #OmegaMart #FamilyTravelDiaries
