Brisbane's Best Thai Food | Kinn Thai Takes the Crown

I’ve tried quite a few Thai restaurants in Brisbane, but when it comes to a spot I’m happy to keep coming back to, Kinn Thai is absolutely top-tier — in fact, it’s the most amazing one I’ve had so far, no exceptions 🌟. 📍 Address: REST4, Logan Rd, Upper Mount Gravatt QLD 4122 Why am I so confident? Let me start with the disappointing spots I’ve tried 😣. ▪️ Take Doodee Boran, for example — I went twice and will never go back 🙅‍♀️. The rice on my first visit was a disaster, hard like it had been stored for years. I was even worried I might bite into a weevil, which totally ruined the experience. The second time, I went with friends hoping for better, but the dishes we ordered were either too salty or tasteless. That was it — no third chance. ▪️ Then there’s Pochana Brisbane. Their duck dish on my first try put me off for good 😫. The fishy smell was so strong, I lost my appetite the second I took a bite. The bad memory means I’ll never step foot there again. But Kinn Thai is a whole different story 😍. On my first visit, I ordered four dishes, and not a single one missed the mark — every bite screams authentic Thai flavor: The grilled pork belly is a must-order 🥩! The outer layer is crispy and fragrant, while the meat is tender with just the right balance of fat. Dipped in the special spicy-sour sauce, the rich flavor and zing explode in your mouth — you won’t be able to stop eating. The stir-fried noodles, though a staple in Thai cuisine, are cooked to perfection here. The rice noodles are chewy and never clumpy, with the freshness of seafood blending perfectly with the sauce — it tastes almost exactly like the street food I had in Thailand 😋. The tom yum soup is also fantastic 🥣. The spiciness and sourness are perfectly balanced, not too intense. The broth is rich with the aroma of lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves, and the prawns and mushrooms soak up all that flavor. A sip of soup followed by a bite of prawn — warm and satisfying. What’s even better is the price is wallet-friendly — you can eat until you’re stuffed for just a few dozen dollars per person 💰. But fair warning: it gets super busy in the evenings, usually after 6 PM, so go early to grab a table and avoid waiting too long (you’ll be too hungry to !). This is the kind of Thai restaurant you’ll want to visit again and again — every bite brings back the joy of slurping noodles and eating meat on the streets of Bangkok! 🥳 #ThaiFood #BrisbaneEats #HiddenRestaurants #StudentFoodie #AustraliaLife #RestaurantsToRevisit
